Mohamed Salah has narrated how his second goal against Brighton & Hove Albion came about.

The Egyptian added Liverpool's third in the 76-minute following a Robertson delivered corner. He left his marker, Lamptey for dust, and drove towards the near post glancing a header past Ryan.

According to the 28-year old, it was achieved after consistent practice with Andy Robertson.

“We trained it yesterday and two days ago - and finally Robbo gave me an assist so I’m happy for that!” the Egyptian told Sky Sports.

Salah scored two goals in both halves at the Amex on Wednesday night, taking his goal tally 19, three more to catch up with Jamie Vardy.

Jordan Henderson notched one home as a consolation was imparted following Lamptey’s fizzing cross, which was met by an unmarked Trossard inside the area and beautifully converted.

The two goals by Salah was the 250th combined in all competitions for the front three - Salah, Firmino, and Mane under Jurgen Klopp.

“I think it was a good game for fans to watch. They play really well from the back and they had a good game.

“We were lucky a bit to score in the beginning twice, [that] made the game a little bit easier to just have the confidence from the beginning. But they played a good game.

“After 2-1 they had more confidence and tried to play more football. They were really good and were close to scoring a second as well, so after I scored the third one it made the game calm again and we had more confidence that the game was almost over.”

The Reds have so far recorded 30 Premier League wins in 34 games, quicker than any Premier League club.
