Mohamed Salah is available for selection against Atalanta, Jurgen Klopp has said.

The Egyptian returned to training after testing negative of coronavirus following a series of positive tests whiles on international duty with the Pharaoh’s of Egypt during the international break.

Salah missed the Reds 3-0 victory over Leicester City on Sunday yet reported to training on Monday to begin preparations against Atalanta in the Champions League.

He was also involved in the UEFA testing for the European competition and according to Klopp, the squad passed the examination.

“The test was negative - all the tests were negative – so, if nothing changed since yesterday, he is available. Now we have to see what we do with that because he was quarantined until three days ago.”

The manager updated on the fitness issues of the squad after ten senior players missing training in their last game at Anfield.

"All the rest, no news. One looks closer, the other one looks not that close, so that’s how the situation is and we’ll see who is available.

“I don't want to speak too much about it because I have no idea who Atlanta can bring into this game, so why should we give any kind of information to them?”
