Mohamed Salah has begun this season on high following his hat trick against Leeds United in the opening fixture of the Premier League on Saturday.

The Reds were victors in an epic seven-goal encounter at Anfield, a game that defined the tactical intelligence of debutant, Marcelo Bielsa, and Jurgen Klopp in the elite league.

Salah became the first Reds player to score three goals in the opening league fixture in the 20th century to help Liverpool record their 60th unbeaten game record at Anfield.

The Egyptian leads the Golden boot with three goals yet Jamie Vardy on Sunday responded to his early lead by bagging two goals to keep the race alive at the Hawthorns.

Leicester City scored three goals against West Bromwich Albion, a Timothy Castagne’s debut goal in the 56-minute and a brace from Vardy from the spot in the 74 and 84-minute.

The 33-year old two goals against West Brom took him to 105 top-flight goals, one above former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba in the all-time scoring charts.

First runner up of the Golden boot last season, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang was on the scoresheet at the Craven Cottage following Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Fulham.

Wilfred, Zaha, Callum Wilson, Virgil van Dijk, Patrick Bamford, Alexander Lacazette, and a few are all on one.

Manchester United and City did not play in the opening fixtures due to their European participation last month.
