Legendary musician Rex Omar has appealed to Ghanaians to get behind the President, His Excellency Nana Addo  and good support the administration by adhering to all it's directives in the fight against the wide spread pandemic, the deadly COVID-19. 

He advised Ghanaian citizens to rise above politics and help curb the spread of the deadly Coronavirus on the wake of the country recording it's 7th official case of the COVID-19.

According to him, now is not the time to politicize every decision involving the spread which was officially declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The first two cases were announced on March 12. Since then there has been a rapid rise in number, as 5 more cases have been recorded in the space of six days. 

President Akufo-Addo, in his public address, outlined the measures that the administration has decided to effect to curb the spread of the deadly virus. He placed on ban on all public gatherings, including gatherings at religious institutions for the next four weeks. 

Rex Omar, who was speaking on Hitz FM congratulated the President and his administration on his directives and cautioned political parties to desist from politicising issues surrounding the virus. 

"When the President was addressing the public, I could see the burden on his face. Let’s rally behind President Akufo-Addo to fight coronavirus. When we are done, we can come back to our NPP-NDC stuff. That is all I want to say,” he said.
