Ghanaian Reggae-Dancehall artiste, Ras Kuuku, has replied critics who have been insulting him over his decision to parade his reggae-dancehall artiste of the year award at the just-ended 21st edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA).

The internet trolls had been on Ras Kuuku's case for taking the plaque everywhere with him since his victory. The artiste was always spotted moving from place to place with the award by his side, taking pictures of it and making videos with anyone that cares to feature in his glorious mood.

The critics pointed out that Ras Kuuku is falling to the common sin of over-celebrating his win. They noted that he should not forget he only won because the actual competitors (Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale) had been disqualified. When he was not spotted with his award in his most recent photo, his fans started wondering if it had gone missing.

The dancehall artiste has now reacted to the insults in an interview with Pulse Ghana. He replied that all his awards are currently with his manager so none can be missing, especially the recently acquired VGMA award.

“I’ve been receiving so many messages from bloggers and family members, friends and other people asking if the award is missing,”

“I saw him yesterday but we are shooting a video today so I would be going to him later to find out if the award is missing but I don’t think the award is missing.”

“The award belongs to us, the ghetto youth. If it’s for you, come and take!” he concluded
