Pray for the Health Minister as he Battles with Covid-19 – Prez Akufo-Addo

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo Dankwa has confirmed reports that the country’s Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu has contracted the coronavirus disease.
He disclosed this in his nationwide televised address on Sunday, May 14, 2020.
Akufo-Addo said the Health Minister is currently responding to treatment. However, he implored Ghanaians to remember him in their prayers as the minister battles with the virulent disease.
The president also commiserated with the family of the Chief Executive of the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, Mr Anthony K. K. Sam, who succumbed to a Covid-19-related disease on Friday, June 12.

In light of the increasing Covid-19 cases, Akufo-Addo appealed to citizens in the hotspot areas of the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Central and Western regions - to strictly adhere to Covid-19 containment measures.
Ghana has recorded a total of 11,964 COVID-19 cases, 4,258 recoveries, and 54 deaths.
