Nigerian artiste, Naira Marley, has been placed before a mobile court in Abuja for blatant disregard of lockdown rules.

It will be recalled that the popular musical idol performed at a drive-through a concert at Jabi Lake Mall on June 13, 2020, against the COVID-19 guidelines set at the time. Apart from flouting the ban on public gatherings he also left Lagos for the Federal Capital Territory for the concert on Saturday, July 13, 2020, effectively also transgressing on the interstate travel ban.

The charges have been read to him under tight security at the Eagle Square, venue of where the mobile court is sitting.
