Nicolas Pepe has apologized for his head-butt of Ezgjan Alioski.

The Ivorian who has been complaining of not getting much playing time in the Premier League this season was involved in a clash with Leeds United Macedonia winger which led to a brawl.

He was sent off eight minutes in the second half which intensified the pressure from Marcelo Bielsa’s side against Arteta but were not clinical enough to notch a goal.

Ian Wright who was in the Premier League studio as a pundit criticized the player’s frustrations in the game and defined his attitude as ‘disappointing’ especially when he has not played to justify his club-record £72 million transfer fee from Rennes.

The 25-year-old took to Twitter on Monday night and apologized for any inconveniences caused.

"Yesterday I have let my team down at a crucial part of the game and there is no excuses for my behaviour," he wrote.

"I am deeply sorry and would like to apologise to the fans, my team-mates, my coach and everyone else at the club," he added.

He has scored 11 goals in 55 features for the Gunners since his arrival in 2019.
