“One Hour per Session” Rule is to Prevent Long Wearing of Facemasks at Churches, Mosques – Information Minister

Ghana’s Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah said government’s decision to limit churches and mosques services to an hour per session is to prevent congregants from wearing face masks for a long period.

According to the minister, this will help avoid certain health risks associated with wearing the facemasks for too long.

The Ofoase Ayeribi legislator also said the move is to make it easier for the religious bodies to keep a database of worshippers to assist in contact tracing should a Covid-19 case be recorded.
