Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Manchester United will see the best of both Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford when football's suspension ends according to the mirror.

World Cup winner Pogba has been missing since December, and underwent ankle surgery in January.

Rashford has been out of action for almost three months also, having suffered a serious back injury in the FA Cup replay win over Wolves in January too - having previously been playing while managing the issue.

Neither had been expected to play any major role in the remainder of the campaign.

But the uncertainty surrounding the game amid the coronavirus pandemic means both will be fit and ready to return when the game gets back up and running.

And Solskjaer feels that the pair will have extra motivation to make their presence felt.

"Paul and Marcus have been out, now we've still got games left, and I think everyone in the league will start more or less on the same level," Solskjaer told Sky Sports.

“Maybe they've got more motivation to keep going now, as they can see when they're back they may be on the same level or even a better level physically.

"In a way, they have got an opportunity here to play a bigger part in this season than they had hoped.

“And they are big players for us, some of the most important players.”

Solskjaer’s side sat fifth in the Premier League with nine games remaining, and were well set for a place in the Europa League quarter-finals, after thrashing Austrian side LASK in their last 16, first leg tie.

They were also into the last eight of the FA Cup.

And the Norwegian, whose side had been in outstanding form since both a mid-season break in Marbella and the arrival of Portugal international Bruno Fernandes, believes that his side will have no problems kicking on again when the game does eventually resume.

"I've always been impressed with the players when we've had breaks," he added. "When we came back from pre-season they were really focused.

“We've had the mid-season break now, we did a few things tactically in Marbella in that week and they came back focused.

"We can kick on, I'm sure we can get a good start and climb up that table if we keep doing the right thing.

“Even with the FA Cup and Europa League, if that does go ahead, we've got good chances there."
