Old Tafo District of the Church of Pentecost Installs Passenger Terminal Seat

The Old Tafo District of the Church of Pentecost, New Tafo Area has installed a new passenger terminal seat at the front of the Mile 4 Market, Tafo on Monday, December 30, 2019.

With the church’s vision 2023 in progress to influence and occupy the nation with the mission to transform and equip, it’s evident is been revealed through fitting and fixing of infrastructures to prosper the welfare of the people at the various suburbs in Regions where the Church of Pentecost can be located.

According to the Area Head, Apostle Samuel Antwi, the church’s foresight of transforming the Nation dwells on two practicalities, the spiritual upkeep of the lost and the evident interests of citizens therefore it was and is needful to satisfy the various communities and fulfill the things they lack in order to point the Church in a healthier mood to win souls for Christ.

He addressed the gathering on the need for church members to demonstrate Christ;s characteristics towards one another to animate the unseen virtues of the body of Christ towards the world.

“Salvation for the soul is the most significant,” he said.

“Apart from that, we have to reveal the corporate responsibilities of the church towards the country to them. One of such is the expressing of a decent character to our neighbors to exhalt Christ.

“It is an act of proclamation about the beautiful person of Jesus Christ and draw people to the faith. Indeed we are the salt and light of the world therefore we must be sensed wherever we find ourselves,” he added.

The New Tafo Area Head disclosed that designating every infrastructure for government to develop is not a promising objective for a nation therefore, there was the need for the Church to come to a consensus and assist government in infrastructures like constructing bore holes at devastated areas, bridge erections, bus terminal and street light installations, actively participating in community activities and many others. He articulated that the various Local and District have been tasked to make the Church’s Vision a success to boost the Vision 2023 by the chairman, Apostle Eric Nyamekye.

Nana Agyen Frimpong, the Ankobeahene of Tafo on behalf of the Tafo hene, the Municipal Chief Executive and the inhabitants of the suburb unveiled the terminal seat.

He expressed sincere gratitude to God and the Church for their vision to transform and called on the Municipal to protect the asset to serve the purpose at which it was given. A waste bin was suggested to be provided by the Assembly in order to avoid waste from being scattered around by pedestrians.

“The Assembly must see to it to provide a waste bin to prevent the place from been littered by pedestrians. The Church of Pentecost has indeed done well but my advice to the entire community is that, this no longer belongs to the church. It is for the service of the country therefore let us all make sure that we preserve this property to function as expected,” he spoke.

The Assemblyman, Hon. Albert Twum on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive promised to maintain the yellow branded terminal seat and assured to make available a waste bin to curb rubbish at the area. He applauded the Church of Pentecost for the exhibition of love towards individuals and the nation as a whole.

Hon. Albert advised Church members who trade at the venue to desist from using the terminal as selling grounds in the name of church proprietorship.

“To the members of the Church who are traders here, this place is not for business transaction. If you are a church member in this very market, note that this is not the place to trade. Area Head and the Old Tafo District have dedicated this to the Nation therefore failure to oblige to the Municipal rules will be subject to discipline,” he said.
