NPP will win election by 57 percent - Aspirants Unite for Victory
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo is number one on the ballot paper

Aspirants Unite for Victory of the New Patriotic Party have predicted that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo will win the December 7 elections by 58 per cent of the popular votes to retain his position as the President of the Republic of Ghana.

The Group also proclaimed that per studies made by their Research Team, the incumbent government will claim seven additional parliamentary seats across the country in addition to their 169.

The message was communicated at a press conference organized by the Aspirants Unite for Victory, a group which consists of losing parliamentary aspirants of the NPP who have come together to support the party and provide answers to questions on the need for constituents to vote for Nana Akufo Addo and contesting parliamentary candidates.

The programme, themed, “Get out the Votes” was held at the True Vine Hotel in Kumasi on November 27, 2020, and in attendance was the aspirant of Asante Akim South, Bice Osei Kufuor together with Member of Parliament for Bantama, Daniel Okyem Aboagye, Member of Parliament for Manhyia North, Collins Owusu Amankwah, the parliamentary candidate of Yendi, Hajia Shanni Mahama Zakaria and a few others.

According to the Member of Parliament of Nhyiaeso Constituency, Honorable Kennedy Kankam, the Nana Akufo Addo’s government is yet to unveil better policies to improve the standard of living for Ghanaians and such cannot be implemented when the party suffers defeat in the upcoming polls hence the need to support the president from every angle regardless of their position in the party.

He explained that although their decision as 'failures' coming together to back their former competitors was tough yet for the sake of NPP and Ghanaians welfare, it was necessary.

“It was extremely tough to come together but for the love of party and country, we were able to form this enviable and unprecedented group through the absolute commitment of loyal members under the able leadership of Bice Osei Kufuor and my good self, brought them together to support winning parliamentary candidate to help shore up the popular votes of the president and make the NPP proud by delivering excellent first term,” he said.

“We could not allow our disappointment of losing the primaries to stand the way of the collective good people of Ghana and our party. The president of Ghana Nana Akuffo Addo needs to be given four more years to continue the good works he’s doing for our great country,” he added.

Honourable Kennedy Kankam spoke that the Group has been successful in organizing all losing candidates in the primaries and convinced them to avoid participating as independent candidates in their respective constituencies.

He further assured that regardless of their efforts to inspire the results of the party through innovative campaign, the honour is up to Ghanaians, especially NPP faithful to go massively to polling centres and cast their votes for a resounding NPP victory.

“We have engaged and organized all the 220 losing aspirants to remain in the party and also try as much as possible to prevent them from contesting as independent candidates as witnessed some years back.

“Out of the 220 candidates who were not successful during the 2020 primaries, only one person stood as an independent candidate this year and in percentage terms, we have been able to achieve 99,5454 of our goals.

“The honours lie on us to go and cast our votes massively for the NPP and parliamentary candidate across the length and breadth of the country,” he added.
