Norwich City is the first Premier League club to be relegated in the 2019/20 season after Matchday 35.

The Canaries lost to West Ham United by 4-0 at Carrow Road last Saturday to reveal their stance, having played 35 matches and accumulated a minimum of 21 points.

The club has young talented players to boast of and a few PL teams have expressed interest to pursue the Canaries ahead of next season.

Todd Cantwell was earlier linked to Liverpool by The Athletic, as speculation surrounding Max Aarons, Ben Godfrey and Emi Buendia means they will not stick with Norwich in the Championship next season.

According to the Norwich Evening News, Norwich’s sporting director Stuart Webber says no deal has been received for the above-mentioned players.

He has further notified concerned clubs to that bidding for Norwich’s talents begins at £20m or no sales at all if less.

“We are difficult to negotiate with when we are selling, and we hold all the cards on our young players,” he said.

“Not one of them has less than three years left on their contracts. They owe us, we owe them.

“They are homegrown, and British players cost more. That is almost a Premier League tax these days. We are fortunate we have a few of them. I am sure there will also be interest in our younger ones.

“But that will be on our terms.”
