The organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Covid-19 Heroes Concert, Charterhouse, have said that artistes set to perform at the program will not be paid, as they all have come together to do it for the sake of charity.

The managers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, under the Ghana Music Awards Foundation are set to organize a virtual concert in honour of Ghanaian frontline health workers. The program will be held on Sunday 17th May 2020 at 9:30pm on TV3 and other relevant social media platforms.

The PRO for Charterhouse revealed that no artiste will be paid or his services on Hitz FM's morning entertainment show with Andy Dosty, Robert Klah, explaining that, "Artistes who are performing at the Ghana Music Awards Foundation event will do so in the name of charity".

He added that since the aim of the program is to inspire hope and support the fundraising effort of the Covid-19 National Trust Fund, it would be counterintuitive to spend money on artistes to perform.

Little recognition has been given to the braved fighting deadly pandemic that has ravaged the world in the past few months and per Charterhouse motive, the best to honor the frontlines is the music show.

The program is also intended to lend a voice to the Wear A Mask’ Campaign.
