Newcastle increase Longstaff's wage to keep him from joining Udinese

Matty Longstaff’s contract offer has been increased by Newcastle United in a bid to keep him at the club according to The Telegraph.

Longstaff is wanted by Udinese and an offer of £30,000 per week has been included in his deal which would have made him the highest-paid player in the club.

The English international’s contract will run out once the season is completed and the hope of joining any club is probable yet Newcastle United’s takeover is key in his decision to stay in view of the fact that he would get the opportunity to compete with elite players in both local and international fixtures when the transformation begins.
