NDC is trying to be clever, but I will never endorse John Mahama - Stonebwoy
1Gad declares that he has not endorsed any political party with his Okada(Commercial motorcycle) Video
Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has categorically stated that he will never endorse Mahama or any other politically-related individual for that matter.
The 'Putuu' hitmaker made this statement after his attention was drawn to a video of him endorsing the use of Okada (commercial motorcycle) in a video on his social media page. The use of Okada is something the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has promised to legalize when voted into power.
The video was immediately used as a subliminal campaign to say that since Stonebwoy has agreed with Mahama on the use of Okada, he, therefore, must be supporting him.
"Sometimes were need to join the Okada charley…too much traffic my guy. Okada is good for the people. Ashaiman boy… I had to join the Okada because of too much traffic” Stonebwoy had said in the video where it seemed like he had visited Ashaiman and had to use a bike because his vehicle could not navigate through the traffic.
Stonebwoy has quickly come out to clarify that the video, was in fact taken three years ago, and his admission of the use of Okada was cleverly used by the NDC to gain more followers after it launched its manifesto on Monday, September 7. The party had vehemently promised to legalize the use of Okada if given power in the coming elections.
He took to his Twitter page to deny the claims and said he is not interested in endorsing any political party.
“My attention has been drawn to a 3-year-old video of me riding on an Okada. which is being publicized as an endorsement for a political party.”
“I disassociate myself from this.. please I beg this is not in any way an endorsement for any political party,” he added.
