Jose Mourinho is expecting Hugo Lloris to be available for Spurs clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

The Frenchman was not involved in in the Lon club’s 4-0 in over Ludogorets in Group J of their Europa League on Thursday, with Giovanni Lo Celso and Steven Bergwijn also absent following their participation in Manchester City’s loss last week.

The Portuguese is looking forward to pick a win at his former venue to continue topping the Premier League table after 20 points in 9 matches.

Spurs are being contested by Liverpool who are also on same points and takes on Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex on lunchtime kickoff. Dropping points against Lampard’s side could see him fall below the fifth spot due to the competitive nature of the Top 4.

Asked if the players were injured and could be out for long, the manager confirmed but added they would be involved if needed.

“I want to believe, yes (they will play at Chelsea). We could push but we didn't want to risk,” he told talkSPORTS.

“And this 12 players on the bench gives you space for everything. Gives even you space to have a 16-year-old kid (Dane Scarlett) in there and give him a chance to make history with Tottenham.

“So, with 12 players – Serge Aurier right-back, Sergio Reguilon left-back, Eric Dier centre-back, Moussa Sissoko midfielder – you have players in every position, that's very good.”
