Jurgen Klopp has expressed thoughts on whether referee Chris Kavanah was right to award a penalty decision for Liverpool or not.

The Reds continued their winning streak in the English Premier League and extended their point gap to eight after a 2-1 win over the Foxes at Anfield. Sadio Mane opened the scores in the 40-minute before James Maddison gave the Reds a shocking leveler 10-minutes to end the game.

Liverpool was awarded a penalty by the center referee after Sadio Mane's attempt to hook on to a ball in the box led to a foul from Albrighton. The VAR technology was employed and a confirmation was made yet the Leicester players protested against the decision.

"It was a clear penalty, I stand here and should be only happy because of the way the boys did it but I cannot get over the Choudhury yellow card," he told Sky Sports.

Manager Jurgen Klopp criticized Choudhury's approach against Mohamed Salah in the 89-minute and called for a deserving attitude than opting to hurt the Liverpool talisman.

"He should know better. He maybe was unlucky with [Matt] Ritchie, but he has to calm down.

"You cannot only go for the man, a yellow card. Mo is lying in the dressing room. How can he be ok? We don’t know how he is, but that’s hard. Three years in a row we’ve been the team with the lowest yellow cards, we don’t do these things. But that’s really not okay."

Liverpool have racked up 24 points and head into the International break with a perfect record.
