Mbappe informs PSG he wants out at the end of the season
The 21-year-old wants to continue playing elsewhere in Europe.
Kylian Mbappe has alerted European clubs that he will not see the end of his contract at Paris Saint Germain, the Times has revealed.
The Frenchman has informed the Ligue 1 side that he wants out at the end of the new season.
Mbappe has a contract with Thomas Tuchel’s side until 2022 and will not be signing a new contract, making it clear that he wants to continue playing outside France.
Real Madrid and Liverpool were favorite to sign the former Monaco star last season yet he made a decision to see out his current contract.
Jurgen Klopp phoned Kylian Mbappe’s father and enquired about son’s availability to play for Liverpool in the coming season in the month of April, reports Le10sport yet the deal did not seem to materialize as Kylian was more committed to fulfilling his agreement with the French champions.
The President of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently rebuffed any transfer surrounding the number 7 shirted man and announced that Mbappe will retire with Neymar in the Ligue 1 club after their impressive Champions League quarterfinal comeback against Atalanta last month.
Although clubs will be on guard in a bid to secure the services of the world cup winner, yet questions of his price value is another situation to worry about since PSG regardless of a year remaining on his agreement then will not sell cheap.
The 21-year old had the opportunity to win the Champions League trophy for Paris but unfortunately lost it in the final to an organized Bayern Munich side, when they were beaten by a goal to nil.
The player recently tested positive for COVID-19 and is receiving treatment.
He will miss the Ligue 1 clash against Marseille this Sunday.
