The release by Manhyia made known that the Executive chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has submitted a three year report of his administration to the patron of Asante Kotoko.

The Patron of Asante Kotoko, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has called for calm in the Asante Kotoko fraternity over alleged issues confronting the club which “can have the effect of undermining the unity and integrity of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club” and cause disrepute.”

According to a press release signed by the Chief of Staff, Kofi Badu on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, Manhyia has been summoned to a “heightened media warfare” of a $180,000 debt owed by the Porcupine Warriors to Tunisian Club Esperance in 2016 regarding the transfer of Kwame Bonsu.

Reports revealed that FIFA has ordered that Kumasi Asante Kotoko must be relegated from the Ghana Premier League if they fail to pay the full $180,000 owed.

The club’s failure to meet the regulatory requirements of the Premier League licensing system for the 2019/2020 season has also been narrated as part of impending matters to be resolved in the coming weeks.

The dwelling of the Kumasi Club according to the statement has been alerted and have assured stakeholders and the media for the “immediate cessation as it takes steps to deal with any issues confronting the club.”

 

 

The release also made known that the Executive chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has submitted a three year report of his administration to the patron of Asante Kotoko, Otumfuo OSEI Tutu II and it is been evaluated.

Four weeks has been given to a committee appointed to look into matters of the club to meet its regulatory obligations.

Meanwhile, supporters have been encouraged to “put aside all their disagreements and unite behind the club.”
