Former Liverpool player, John Barnes has informed Gareth Bale that choosing Manchester United ahead of Spurs will revive his career to become the footballer he once was in the Premier League.

Real Madrid will let Bale leave this summer following the winger’s desire to and his broken relationship with manager, Zinedine Zidane.

The Daily Telegraph reported on Monday that Los Blancos will pay 50 percent of Bale’s salary to grant his wish to move away from the Bernabeu.

According to the Sports pundit in an interview with BonusCodeBets, Manchester United is the best-suited team for the 31- year old although his former side is in contention to sign the Welshman.

Barnes told BonusCodeBets: “If Gareth Bale was to come to the Premier League, I couldn’t imagine Liverpool or Chelsea wanting to sign him, especially from a financial point of view.

“In terms of the way he plays, Manchester City would be best suited for him, but they aren’t going to want to sign him.

'Tottenham Hotspur is a club who he has played for before but is he the type of player that Jose Mourinho wants, I don’t think so.

“Manchester United is probably the best club for him, but it is whether they want him despite considering his age and the salary he comes with.”

Bale has made 171 appearances in LaLiga for Madrid and scored 80 goals.

In the 2019/20 season, the former Spurs winger played 12 matches. He received four yellow cards and one red card.
