Osinbajo is currently attending the ECOWAS Extraordinary Summit on the situation in Mali on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday represented President Muhammadu Buhari at an extraordinary summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) in Ghana.
The Accra meeting is a part of the efforts by leaders of the sub-region to resolve Mali’s political crisis.
In a statement on Tuesday, Laolu Akande, senior special assistant to Osinbajo on media and publicity, said the vice-president will also meet with representatives of the Nigerian community in Ghana, according to The Cable.
Accompanying the Vice President is the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb Zubairu Dada.
Osinbajo is expected back in Abuja at the end of his engagements in Ghana.
In August, Nigerian traders in Ghana cried out over the closure of their shops by Ghanaian authorities following new regulations issued by the country.
This happened two months after a building in the Nigerian mission in Ghana was demolished.
