Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson, and Trent Alexander Arnold have been included in the Premier League player of the season award.

The three players helped Liverpool to clinch their first PL title after three decades of drought with 99-points, becoming the first club to win the title with 31 wins.

Jordan Henderson was voted as the Football Writers' Association (FWA) Footballer of the Year for the 2019/20 season as more than a quarter of the votes help him see off stiffer competition from Kevin De Bruyne and Marcus Rashford, as well as teammates, Virgil van Dijk and Sadio Mane.

Trent provided 13 assists, the second-highest total in the Premier League, and scored four goals, earning 12 clean sheets.

Sadio Mane also scored 18 goals and added seven assists. He was immense in the Reds title win having commanded games with his pace and energy. Mane ensured last-minute victory at Aston Villa and was also engaged in Leicester's stoppage-time defeat at Anfield.

Jamie Vardy was the Premier League's top scorer with 23 goals. He secured the Golden boot award from Salah, Mane, and Aubameyang having joint won the accolade last season with 22 goals. He was the first to be awarded the accolade in the history of Leicester City football club and became the ninth English player to win or share the Golden Boot.

His fellow challenger and former Liverpool forward, Danny Ings is part of the nomination. Ings scored 22 times to uplift Southampton from relegation having been humiliated by Leicester 9-0 in October 2019.

Kevin De Bruyne scored 13 and assisted 20, winning the goal of the month with two of his strikes. Unfortunately, he was denied by the woodwork six times.

Nick Pope is the only shot-stopper in the nomination having kept 15 clean sheets for Burnley, fewer than the golden gloves winner, Ederson has.

Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk is the current holder of the accolade.
