Liverpool are in talks with Kylian Mbappe over a possible move to Anfield, Sky Sports reports.

Jurgen Klopp is much interested in adding the winger to his lines after the French star made his intentions known that he would not continue paying for Paris Saint Germain when his contract finishes.

Mbappe’s contract with the Ligue 1 club expires in 2022 and he prefers a move outside the French capital, putting European clubs on alert of his services.

The Reds face stiffer opposition from Real Madrid, who have been chasing the World Cup winner since his time at AS Monaco. Los Blancos lost Mbappe to Paris Saint-German, agreeing to a one-year loan deal at the Parc des Princes before Les Parisiens announced they have the option to offer him a long-term contract until June 2022 at the end of the season.

The 21-year has been a fervent fan of Liverpool, speaking nicely of the Premier League club in his interviews and the delightful project Jurgen Klopp is undertaking at Melwood.
