Ghanaian actress Joselyn Dumas has said that she is ready to doll out money to some of her fans during this economically strained coronavirus period to at least alleviate some financial pressure. 

She stated that the act is her own way of helping her fans in need, to help support them as the country is currently on lockdown. The resultant effect is that most Ghanaians have lost their means of livelihoods and many will be looking on to an act of God if the lockdown persists for longer periods due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The actress announced that she will be sending mobile money to 50 people randomly on Twitter as long as they were her fans. 

She said “Hello Twitter fam, I hope everyone is #stayingsafe and #stayinghome . I’m giving out mobile money to 50 of my fans by random selection on here during these trying times. Kindly reply with why you should be selected, your name and momo number and you might just get lucky!”.

Ghana has now recorded COVID-19 cases in six regions. These are Greater Accra, Eastern, Ashanti, Upper West, Upper East and the Northern regions.

Cases in Ghana reached 287 as at Tuesday April 7, the health surveillance outfit reported in an update posted on its website. “Following measures for enhanced contact tracing and testing, Ghana has detected an increased number of confirmed COVID-19 cases.
