Quamina was born and raised in Mankessim, a town in the central region of Ghana. He dropped out of the Ghana Telecom University in the earlier stages of his life to pursue his music career. He relocated to Accra in 2016 to push his songs fully.

His breakthrough eventually came in 2017 when Ground Up Charlie came across his music video in social media. He was then made to collaborate with Kwesi Arthur, a prolific rapper in the music label. They recorded the song 'Wiase Y3d3" which became an instant sensation.
