Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo, has asked all the female gender trying to place men and women on the same level to stop.

The slay queen maintained that men and women will never be equal therefore trying to fight for something that will never be is an effort in futility. She however stated that even though equality will never happen, it is imperative that both genders learn to respect each other as this is what matters the most.

According to her, there are things that a man can do and a woman cannot and vice versa. She asked for the feminists in Ghana to calm down with their "What a man can do, a woman can do better" phrase as she feels that it is simply not just true. The actress went on to point out things that both genders desperately need each other for.

She took to her Twitter page to express her thoughts, she wrote:

“Man and woman can never be equal so stop looking for equality. All that’s needed is for every gender to respect each other for their differences. Men can’t give birth and women can’t produce sperm (naturally). So no, we can’t be equal but we can give each other equal respect,”

Her comments are sure to receive heavy criticism from feminists, men, and women alike because men are now slowly being won over to the heavily misunderstood tag of being a "feminist". In essence her statements point out that equal rights is not the same as equality of the sexes.

Although she supports that men and women should have equal rights to things as evidenced by her call for respect, she maintained that men and women can never and will never be equal.
