Nigerian musician, Naira Marley has aimed a slight dig at the Federal Government as court resumes his trial on alleged cyberspace fraud charges.

The controversial artiste who recently released a new single, 'Bad Influence' sarcastically claimed to be Nigeria’s problem.

Naira Marley claimed to be the “problem” of the country, not the federal government or officials of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

His comments came hours after his ongoing trial at the federal high court in Lagos state was further adjourned till December.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has charged the ‘Soapy’ crooner with 11 counts bordering on conspiracy, possession of counterfeit credit cards, and fraud.

The anti-graft agency had on Wednesday, tendered as exhibit before the court, an iphone and laptop belonging to singer allegedly containing incriminating materials.

“Naira Marley is d problem of Nigeria not sars, not police and not the government,” he tweeted. 

However, Naira Marley post seems to be a cleverly way of venting his spleen over his trial.

The singer also said that if he was a bad influence, he was trying to figure out what influenced him to be bad. He wondered why his critics do not care to understand what made him who he is, saying he is a youth too.
