Ghanaian Hiplife artiste, Wanlov the Kubolor, has humorously claimed that he is a sex worker.

He said this in response to the recent trend on sex workers being criticized by top Ghanaian celebrities for their choice of profession. Manager of Shatta Wale, Bulldog, and "Investigative Journalist" Afia Schwarzenegger, have all found subtle ways to talk down on the sex workers in Ghana.

Bulldog stated that "he would allow his daughter to be a sex worker" when in reality it's obvious that he's just trying to follow the trend.

Afia Schwarzenegger outrightly ridiculed sex workers by claiming that she would make twice as much as they usually make if she decided to join the prostitutes at Kwame Nkrumah Circle instead of her current career.

Wanlov the Kubolor has now joined the parody too by claiming sex workers "are hard workers too and that some of them are very successful with it". He took to his Instagram page to "defend the sex workers" by saying:

“Sex work is also hard work, and some of the men and women who are also doing it are succeeding.”

He then mockingly revealed that he is into sex work too so people should refrain from talking down on them.

“Stop talking down on sex work. Me seff I dey on the market.” He said.

His parody may fool many media outlets but his post is seen for what it is; a satire for the sex work profession. Wanlov is just looking to gain more views by also jumping on the sex worker trend just like everyone else.
