“I have received subtle threats' - Kiki Mordi disclose the AFTERMATH of her documentary and what LED her to embark on the project

BBC’s Kiki Mordi says she has received subtle threats after the revelation of her undercover investigative documentary, "Sex For Grades".

Kiki dropped out of school because of sexual harassment hence her willingness to fight the disease out to prevent other girls from going through same fate.

She mentioned in the documentary that she gained admission in one of Nigeria’s best schools after the death of her father. According to Kiki, she was a medical student and had dreams to become one of the world’s very best but her dreams were shattered by a certain lecturer who desperately wanted to have sex with her.

Speaking  to Sahara Reporters, the African Eye worker said although she has been warned after the release of the ‘sex for grade” masterpiece yet she is not bothered due to the safety measures provided by BBC for its employees.

“I have received subtle threats since this work was completed but I am not bothered because the BBC takes the security of employees seriously.

“Before embarking on this project, the team prayed a lot and also sang because it helped to calm the nerves.

“But I had to go through the trainings I received over and over again because I wanted to get it right.

“The bulk of the ritual I performed were reading, research and preparation.

“The biggest goal of this work was to be louder than the aggressor because sexual harassment is very loud. I wanted it to be silenced.

Kiki spoke of her delight in the means at which the documentary is transforming and standing for the vulnerable in the various schools. She called on the government to take the necessary steps to break the 'culture of impunity' to empower sanity across the various Nigerian Universities.

“I am happy that a lot is changing already since the documentary was release and I can confirm to you that one of the lecturers at the University of Lagos caught sexually harassing a prospective student has been dismissed by the institution.
