Ghanaian lyricist, Yaa Pono has come out after three years to say that he does not regret the diss song 'Gbee Nabu' that he released against Shatta Wale all those years back.

The Kasahari wordsmith made the track during one of biggest feuds Ghana has witnessed against self-acclaimed dancehall King, Shatta Wale. The song sparked another genre of diss tracks in Ghana as it started a new era of beef with Ghanaian artistes having to take sides.

When asked by Amansan Krakye in an interview on GBC's Radio Central if he regretted dropping the song, Yaa Pono revealed that on the contrary, he enjoyed making the diss track all those years back in 2017.

“I can’t regret anything that has happened in my life. You only need to ask me that have I ever regretted before and if I would have regretted that would have been way back.

“It’s not today that I will say that I have regretted. I’m the type of person who wouldn’t want to waste my precious time on earth to reminisce and say I have regretted. In life, things happen and that’s in the past and it’s gone.

“Someone who has regrets can’t continue working and you can’t also move ahead in life. I’m cool with Shatta Wale and now everything is fine by the grace of God.”

Yaa Pono has just recently released a teaser video for a yet-to-be-released-song that will bring the vintage 1990’s Highlife back.
