Aspiring Member of Parliament for the New Patriotic Party, Tafo-Pankrono Constituency, Dr. E. K. Obeng says he is not anxious about the outcome of the upcoming parliamentary primaries on April 25 seeing that he is the right man to effect a change through job creation to better the life of inhabitants.

Asked why he sounded confident in his address to supporters, Dr. Obeng courageously concluded that out of the five aspirants in the constituency, he stands favorite among them.

“I am their preferred candidate,” he said.

“You can ask my opponents and they will tell you that I, Trinity is the number one choice for the people. I sound confident because I am going to win by His Grace.

"It’s a contest so I must sound confident to make a statement to my opponents that the work demands maturity,” he added.

The Owner of Trinity Hospital at Kodua, Pankrono is among the five parliamentary aspirants waiting to fill the heavy boots of the Minister for Monitoring and Evaluation, Dr. Anthony Osei Akoto after he made his decision known to the party’s constituency executives at a meeting last year that he will not contest the ruling party’s upcoming primaries for the 2020 polls.

Dr. Obeng submitted his forms at the New Patriotic Party office at the Tafo Constituency on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.

He counselled the delegates that regardless of the contest to choose one person to represent the constituency in the December 7 elections, the New Patriotic Party is an embodiment of peace therefore they should refrain from disputes that will offend and upset candidates.

“My advise to the delegates is that we are one people. We are a family of NPP so they should do away with words that would defame other opponents,” he uttered.

“When we are done contesting, I know very well we will all convene and fight a good course, as Paul said,  I have fought a good fightI have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the good Lord will give to me,” he added.
