Ghanaian rapper, Okyeame Kwame, has revealed the secrets to his evergreen career.

According to the veteran, a good managerial team and a lot of self imbibed humility are the major keys to an effectively sustained career in the music industry. The singer/songwriter, who has survived many generations on the music scene, spoke from experience seeing that he has been active for almost 20 years.

Okyeame Kwame explained this with a transportation-like illustration. He stated that an artist is a form of vehicle that "takes people to a fun-filled destination" and the passengers always expect more and more from the person in the driving seat.

The Rap Doctor said that no musician has creativity on his/her own, as everything a musician display is a result of what he has harnessed from the creativity of the public.

” A strong and solid management team is the best. Usually, a brand looks out for humble artiste to invest in. A good management team will help shape an artiste and then ensure a healthy relationship between the artiste and his or her fans. A solid management team also ensures that the finances of an artiste are well taken care of and diversified to ensure that you do not suffer when the music business slows down”, he said

He admonished younger artistes to stay humble and desist fro petty fights that might damage their careers later down the line.

He concluded that good management is the most important thing, above all.
