Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Dean Henderson's development at Sheffield United has been terrific and the decision of where he will play next season is under consideration.

The 23-year-old is on loan at Bramall Lane following his contribution that saw Chris Wilder’s side promoted to the Premier League.

His loan deal will conclude at the end of the current season and the decision of whether he will join Manchester United to compete David De Gea is yet to be made.

The Spanish international signed a new four-year deal last September with the option for a further year.

The manager of the Red Devils acknowledged the shot stopper’s effort and expressed that he will be England and Manchester United’s No.1 sometime.

"Dean has made some great choices over the years and has developed fantastically," said Solskjaer.

"We're looking at that in terms of where he's going to be next season, but as yet that has not been decided.

"This season has proved a great experience for him, he's done himself some favors with his performances, and proved he will be England's No 1 and Man United's No 1 at some point."

Dean Henderson’s exciting performance for the Blades this season has pushed them into the seventh spot of the Premier League, with a game in hand against Aston Villa on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. A win takes them to fifth, ahead of Manchester United.

The two sides played a 3-3 draw at the Bramall Lane with the return fixture yet to be honored when the League resumes.

"It's not my job to keep the players happy or in the team or out of it. Part of it is their responsibility of performing and doing well.

"Dean has made some great choices over the years and developed fantastically - and still is," Ole Gunnar Solskjaer added.
