Mikel Arteta has updated that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is happy at Arsenal and contract extension between the two parties will soon be agreed.

The 31-year old is in the final year of his contract and has been linked to Barcelona and Inter Milan where Champions League football could be guaranteed to enhance his career.

 

 

The Gabonese scored a brace in Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Norwich City and according to the Spanish international, he is optimistic that Aubameyang will extend his stay at the Emirates.

"He is willing to stay with us," Arteta said. "He is really happy where he is.

"He can see what we are trying to do and hopefully he can evolve as well some parts of his game he might feel he can improve. We are pushing him every day.

Aubameyang has made 37 appearances for the Gunners and has scored 23 goals in all competitions this season.
