After suffering a further ankle injury in Real Madrid's recent defeat to LevanteEden Hazard will undergo surgery on Thursday in Dallas, with renowned ankle specialist Dr. Eugene Curry taking control of the procedure.

The estimated time Hazard will be out of action is set to be around two months, but he will be comfortable in the knowledge that Curry, of the Carrel Clinic in Dallas, has done some quite exceptional work with Dallas Cowboys players in the past.

He uses advanced techniques to reconstruct ankle ligaments, as well as repairing the Achilles tendon, which should allow athletes to resume their normal range of movement and play competitive sport once more with minimal downtime.

In addition to his work with Jerry JonesCowboysCurry is also on call to both the athletic department of the South Methodist University and the NBA's Dallas Mavericks.

If the prediction with regards to Hazard's absence comes true, he could rejoin the group for the final stages of the LaLiga Santander campaign.

Hazard will travel to Dallas with the head of Real Madrid's medical services Niko Mihic, with the decision taken to have the surgery now in the hope of rectifying the ankle problem for the long term.
