Manchester City will are preparing to offer Pep Guardiola a lucrative new long-term deal after their two-year Champions League ban was revoked yesterday by the Court of Administration for Sports (CAS).

The former Bayern Munich manager joined the English top-flight in February 2016 and signed a contract extension last year until 2021.

He secured his first league title in English football with a record of 106 goals, 32 wins, and 100 points.

The 48-year-old is reported to be willing to extend his stay at the Etihad as the Premier League intensifies ahead of next season following his inability to win the Premier League for the third consecutive time.

According to The Mirror, Guardiola will be offered an improved deal, which seeks to make his stay the lengthiest, compared to his periods with clubs he has managed.

He is yet to add a Champions League trophy to his collection as the team is willing to strengthen their squad.

He spent four seasons in Spain and won 14 trophies across six different competitions before taking a break from football after the 2011/12 campaign.

He returned to coaching in 2013/14 and replaced Jupp Heynckes. He won three Bundesliga titles on the bounce, with silverware also coming via the DFB-Pokal, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
