Pep Guardiola has identified Kalidou Koulibaly as the solution to the defensive slip-ups in his team and has made inquiries about the African international.

Manchester City were defeated for the ninth time in the Premier League, as Pep Guardiola was defeated in his third consecutive away league game for the first time in his managerial career, with key losses related to a distrustful guard by central pair.

The 29-year old has been linked with Liverpool, and an amount of £58m has earlier been rejected as Napoli stands firm on their asking price of £70m.
