GFA Elections Committee RENDERS Wilfred Osei Palmer's APPEAL 'Unsuccessful'

The Tema Youth FC President sent his petition to FIFA on Tuesday for redress suspecting that there was a foul play in the NC`s decision to execute him from the race.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has rendered Wilfred Osei Palmer’s appeal over his disqualification from the election by the Normalizations Committee as ‘unsuccessful’.

The Elections Committee of the GFA disqualified the candidate on two grounds – breach of Article 33(5) (C) of the GFA regulations which relates to player transfers as well as getting on the wrong side of Ghana Football Association Ethical Committee ruling in 2017.

In a statement signed by Naa Odoley Nortey, a member of the GFA Normalization Committee on Wednesday, October 9 2019, the Elections Committee has turned down the appeal of Wilfred Osei Palmer.

 

 

“We regret to inform you that based on the above listed documents received, before the deadline, your appeal was unsuccessful”.

The astute football administrator reported the issue of his exclusion to the game governing body with the claim that he has been unfairly targeted and thrown out of the race for no justifiable reason.

The Tema Youth FC President sent his petition to FIFA on Tuesday for redress suspecting that there was a foul play in the NC`s decision to execute him from the race.

Palmer announced the of petition news on social media on Monday; 

"We have successfully filed an appeal against the Elections committee's decision to disqualify Osei Palmer from the GFA presidential election race,"

 

 

The legal team of Palmer lodged the appeal to FIFA seeking them to overturn the decision.

This leaves Amanda Clinton, George Ankoma Mensah, Nana Yaw Amponsah, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, George Afriyie and Frederick Pappoe in the presidential race of the Ghana Football Association.
