Mohamed Salah completes his hat-trick to put Liverpool within touching distance of victory

Liverpool have stretched their unbeaten matches at Anfield to sixty after another thrilling performance on Saturday evening.

Mohamed Salah scored a trick, which made him the first to score a hat trick on Matchday one of a league season since John Aldridge against Charlton in 1988-89.

Bielsa's side were so dangerous going forward as the champions defended poorly to concede two goals in the first half despite leading.

Salah opened the scores with a penalty to become the first-ever player to score on the opening day of four consecutive league seasons. The Egyptian's earlier strike was blocked by Koch’s arm in the 4-minute and referee Michael Oliver had no option than to reward the Champions the opportunity.

The debutants leveled the scores eight minutes later following an easy defending by Gomez and Alexander Arnold from the left.

Harrison for Leeds brilliantly took the ball down over on the left as his touch took him past Alexander-Arnold before beating Arnold Gomez with a second challenge to hammer the ball past Alisson.

Van Dijk regained the lead in the 20-minute from a Robertson header. The center back beat Koch before leaping to meet the ball to wave Meslier and the ball into the net.

Terrible defending cost the Reds once more when Van Dijk refused to clear a ball and gifted possession to Bamford. The active attacker clipped the ball past Alisson who rushed to save the ball to the back of the net.

Mohamed Salah restored the Reds in front 12 minutes to end the first half. Struijk headed Robertson's free-kick away, but only as far as Salah, who thumps the ball past Meslier and into the top corner from just inside the penalty area.

Klich gave Leeds United the third time leveler in the 66-minute urging Mohamed Salah to convert a penalty after Fabinho was clipped by Rodrigo three minutes to time.
