BRT Buses set ablaze in Lagos

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses have been set ablaze in Lagos.

The vehicles were parked at Oyingbo BRT Station.

It was gathered that angry youths stormed the premises Wednesday morning, according to The Nation. 

The attack was reportedly a reprisal.

Eyewitnesses say security agents allegedly killed two citizens in the early hours of Wednesday.

Tensions are high in different parts of Lagos.

The state is under a 24-hour curfew.

In another report, it was learnt that TVC News, a Nigerian 24-hour television news channel, which is owned by Continental Broadcasting Service Nigeria Ltd, is on fire.

The inferno started this morning while a live show was on.

The station is not available at the moment.

According to Alkasim Abdulkadir, a Communications Expert, the hosts has raised the alarm.

Abdulkadir tweeted: “watching TVC, the anchors frantically said there were thugs at their gate trying to break into the premises.

"The station is off air at the moment.”
