The Electoral Commission has extended its Voters’ Register Exhibition exercise with three days according to a statement signed by Acting Director of Public Affairs of the EC, Sylvia Annor.

The exercise, which started on September 10, 2019, was expected to end on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. This is as a result of low turn out in the various electoral centers of the registration.

The practice purposely is intended to allow prospective voters to verify if their details, such as names, sex and age are properly captured during the registration exercise and also make requests for amendments or insertions when necessary has recorded a lower participation at the various centers in the Kwabre East District.

“The Electoral Commission wishes to announce for the information of the general public that it has extended the period for the exhibition of the voters register from Tuesday, 17th September to Friday, 20th September 2019.” 

“All registered voters who registered from 2012 to 2019 are expected to check their names and particulars at their designated exhibition centres throughout the country.” The statement revealed.

Various stakeholders have been asked by the Electoral Commission to cooperate with operatives on the field to make the exercise successful.
