A motorist has been killed near the Asanteman Senior High School in the capital of the Ashanti Region after a tree fell on his car amidst high winds on Thursday, June 18, 2020.

According to an eyewitness report, the man known as Alhaji had his car with the registration number AW7248-14, parked awaiting passengers when the tree fell in the hours of 4:30 to 5:00 pm.

It only took chainsaw operators to slice through the fallen tree before his body was retrieved in the crashed vehicle.

He was later declared dead by the Police and his body was taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for preservation and autopsy.

The Suame Divisional Police Command is however investigating the case.
