Wrestling star Danny Havoc has passed away aged only 45, Game Changing Wrestling has announced.

Real name Grant Berkland, Havoc was a much-loved performer in GCW and Combat Zone Wrestling, and his death led to numerous tributes from various WWE stars.

“With a broken heart, the GCW family mourns the loss of Grant Berkland aka Danny Havoc,” wrote GCW in a statement on social media.

 

 

“Danny was an incredibly talented, intelligent, caring & genuine person.

“He was also an elite performer that entertained a generation of fans & inspired a generation of aspiring performers.”

The Iowa native reportedly passed away only two months after his wife, Brianne Morrow, died of heart failure.

CZW also paid tribute to Havoc, who joined the promotion in 2005.

“This cuts too deep,” a post on social media read. “Grant ‘Danny Havoc’ Berkland.

“He was an inspiration to so many and a friend to all and our hearts go out to his family and loved ones.

“We can take a small comfort in knowing the entire wrestling community are sharing the same grief right now."

Havoc was a multiple championship winner during his time with CZW, claiming the Underground Championship, the Junior Heavyweight Championship, and the Tag Team Championship, and also winning the Tournament of Death on two separate occasions.

He won further championships with other promotions, including being the victor at GCW’s Tournament of Survival in 2016.
