C/R: 8 dead in illegal mine collapse
The police are currently investigating the incident.

Eight persons have reportedly died after an illegal mine collapsed and trapped them at Ayanfuri in the Central Region.
The mine is located at the outskirts of Ayanfuri at a place nicknamed 'Phase Four'.
Per a report by 'Graphiconline' the residents in the area intervened to rescue the victims but they were pronounced dead on arrival at the Dunkwa-On-Offin Government Hospital.
The deceeased - yet to be identified - have their remains deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
Sergeant Isaac Evans Etie of the Central Regional Police Public Relations Office explained that the incident happened on Thursday, November 25, 2020.
He said the police received information about the incident around 7pm.
He said the police were investigating the incident.
