COVID-19: Nigeria Confirms 94 New Cases, Total Now 64,184

The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday confirmed 94 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the country.

NCDC made this known on its verified Twitter handle. It also disclosed that so far, 1,158 persons have died of the disease.

NCDC tweeted: ''On the 9th of November 2020, 94 new confirmed cases and 4 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

''Till date, 64184 cases have been confirmed, 60069 cases have been discharged and 1158 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The 94 new cases are reported from 7 states- Lagos (50), FCT (24), Kwara (9), Edo (4), Kaduna (3), Ondo (2) and Plateau (2).

A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.

Meanwhile, the latest numbers bring Lagos state total confirmed cases to 21,960, followed by Abuja (6,263), Plateau (3,678), Oyo (3,525), Rivers (2,866), Kaduna (2,706), Edo (2,677), Ogun (2,067), Delta (1,816), Kano (1,756), Ondo (1,700), Enugu (1,332),  Kwara (1,081), Ebonyi (1,055), Katsina (953), Gombe (938). Osun (932), Abia (926),  Borno (745), and Bauchi (720).

Imo State has recorded 622  cases, Benue (493), Nasarawa (483), Bayelsa (413),  Ekiti (338), Jigawa (325), Akwa Ibom (319), Anambra (282), Niger (281), Adamawa (261), Sokoto (165), Taraba (152), Kebbi (93), Cross River (87), Yobe (82), Zamfara (79), while Kogi state has recorded 5 cases only.
