The Ministry of Information will brief Ghanaians today, March 24, 2020 on the latest development of the COVID-19.

Ghana’s case as at Monday, March 23, 2020 was 27 including two deaths. According to the MOI, all the other 25 cases are receiving treatment in isolation.

 

 

20 Ghanaians have been recorded to have been effected, with majority returning home from affected countries. Seven are of other nationals: Norway, Lebanon, China, France and the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, as March 23, a total of 521 suspected cases have been tested for the COVDID-19 by Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research and the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research (KCCR).

 

 

In respect of contact tracing, a total of 598 contacts have bene identified and being tracked. One of the contacts according to the MOI developed symptoms and has been confirmed positive.

19 people have completed the 14 days of mandatory follow up.
