COVID-19: Ghana’s Death toll rises to 215; Case Count Surpasses 41,000

Ghana's COVID-19 death toll has increased to 215, after 9 more patients succumbed to the virulent disease.

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has also confirmed 470 new COVID-19, bringing the national tally to 41,003.

Per the latest figures from GHS on August 9, 38,330 persons have so recovered from the virus while active cases stand at 2,458.

From the active cases, six persons are in critical condition, 22 are in severe conditions, and three are on ventilator support.

So far 413,835 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the country.
