COVID-19: Ghana records 567 new cases; Tally now 39,642

Ghana’s COVID-19 case count has spiked to 39,642 after 567 more persons tested positive for the virulent disease.

This comes barely 24 hours after the last update from the Ghana Health Service yesterday, August 5.

Per the latest figures, the recovery count has also increased to 36,288.

The death toll remained at 199, bringing the active COVID-19 cases to 3,059

From the active cases, eight are in a critical condition, four on ventilators, and 22 in severe condition.

A total of 407,588 tests have been conducted in the country since March 2020.
