Coronavirus: Ghana’s Cases now 18,630 with 14,046 Recoveries

The confirmation of 496 new COVID-19 cases has sent Ghana’s national tally to 18,630.

The recent development comes few hours after the GHS’s website reported 134 infections

The Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, who announced this in press briefing on Thursday, July 2, 2020, said the recovery count of the disease currently stands at 14,046.

However, the number of persons who have succumbed to the disease remained 117.

Ghana currently has 4,467 active cases.

“Ghana has recorded 18,630 cases with recoveries 14,046. Currently, we have 117 reported deaths accounting for 0.63 percent. Currently, we have 4,467 active cases. These people are being managed at the treatment sites, isolations, and under home management depending on the situation.”

Dr. Kuma-Aboagye further said 22 persons are in severe conditions, eight in critical and six on ventilators.
